1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Adroit Construction & Solar ("Adroit", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you use adroitjamaica.com, request a preliminary solar quotation, contact us, or book an assessment.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Name, phone/WhatsApp number, email address and parish/area.
• Property/site address and notes you choose to provide.
• Preferred assessment date and time window.
• Information used to prepare a preliminary solar quotation, including your stated monthly JPS bill, selected backup preference and calculator results.
• Messages or enquiries you send to Adroit by email, WhatsApp, Instagram or other contact methods.

Payment information

Paid assessment checkout is handled by Stripe. Adroit receives payment and transaction details needed to identify and administer the booking, but the hosted Stripe checkout is designed so that Adroit does not receive or store your full card number or card security code.

Basic technical information

Our hosting provider and third-party services may receive ordinary technical information associated with website use, such as IP address, browser/device information, request logs and security information. Third-party services may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information where reasonably necessary to:

• generate and save your requested preliminary solar quotation;
• contact you about a solar enquiry or quotation you generated;
• process and administer paid assessment bookings;
• schedule and manage assessment requests;
• communicate about quotations, projects, payments, installations and after-sales support;
• maintain business, accounting, security and transaction records;
• prevent misuse, troubleshoot the website and protect our services; and
• comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

4. When information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers where needed to operate the service, including:

• Stripe for payment processing and payment-related records;
• Google services for Adroit's internal booking calendar and business communications;
• website hosting and email providers for hosting, security, storage and notification delivery; and
• professional advisers, contractors, suppliers or authorities where reasonably required for a project, legal obligation, dispute, safety matter or with your direction/consent.

Some service providers operate internationally, so information may be processed or stored outside Jamaica. We use established providers and seek to limit information shared to what is reasonably needed for the relevant service.

5. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for related business, accounting, legal, warranty, dispute-resolution, security or regulatory needs. Retention periods can differ depending on whether the information relates to an enquiry, quotation, paid assessment or completed project.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. No internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so customers should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through free-text fields, email or social media.

7. Your privacy rights

Subject to the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020 and any applicable exceptions, you may have rights concerning personal data held about you, including rights to request access to information, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, and raise concerns about how information is processed.

8. Contact and marketing

If you generate a personalised quotation or submit an enquiry, Adroit may contact you about that solar enquiry, quotation, assessment or related service. You can ask us to stop non-essential promotional messages at any time by replying to the message or contacting us using the details below. Service-related communications about an active booking, payment or project may still be necessary.

9. Third-party links and services

Our website may link to third-party websites or services, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Stripe and supplier websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Adroit is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or services we do not control.

10. Children

Our quotation and assessment services are intended for persons able to enter into business transactions for a property or project. We do not intentionally design the website to collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The effective date shown at the top will be updated when a revised version is published.
