1. Using this website
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of adroitjamaica.com and to online quotation and assessment-booking features provided by Adroit Construction & Solar. By using those services, you agree to these terms. If a separate written proposal, contract or project agreement is signed, that agreement will govern the project to the extent it conflicts with these website terms.
2. Solar calculator and preliminary recommendations
The website calculator provides a preliminary estimate only. It uses information entered by the customer and stated calculation assumptions to estimate energy use and recommend a preliminary solar, inverter and battery configuration.
A calculator result is not a final engineering design, electrical approval, guarantee of performance or commitment to install a particular system. Final sizing may change after a load assessment, site inspection, roof/shading review, electrical inspection, equipment review and discussion of the customer's backup requirements.
3. Preliminary quotations
Website quotations are preliminary and are generally valid for 2 days unless a different validity period is shown on the quotation. Prices, models and quantities remain subject to final confirmation.
Quoted equipment can be affected by supplier pricing, stock availability, model changes, exchange-rate conditions, site conditions and the final scope of work. Adroit will confirm any material change before it becomes part of a final project agreement.
Generating a preliminary quotation does not reserve equipment, create an installation date or require you to proceed with the project.
4. Energy savings and performance
Solar production and electricity savings vary. Actual results depend on weather, shading, roof orientation, equipment performance, household/business consumption, time of use, battery settings, grid conditions, tariff changes and other factors outside Adroit's control. We do not guarantee that a system will eliminate a JPS bill or achieve a specific monetary saving unless that commitment is expressly included in a signed project agreement.
5. Assessments and booking requests
Adroit currently offers paid video assessments and physical site visits at the prices displayed on the website and secure checkout. The preferred date and time submitted during checkout is a booking request, not an automatically confirmed appointment. Adroit may contact you to confirm or arrange the final appointment time.
The website currently states that a video-assessment fee may be credited toward a later physical site visit if one is needed, and that assessment fees are credited toward an Adroit installation if the customer proceeds, subject to the terms shown at the time of booking.
If access, travel, safety, weather, incomplete information or another reasonable circumstance affects an assessment, Adroit may need to reschedule or request additional information.
6. Payments
Online assessment payments are processed through Stripe's hosted checkout. Prices shown at checkout are in Jamaican dollars unless otherwise stated. Customers should review the assessment type, amount and booking details before completing payment.
For installation projects, the payment terms stated in Adroit's preliminary quotation are: materials payable before installation; labour 50% before installation and 50% on completion, unless a later written project agreement states different terms.
7. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
If you need to cancel or reschedule an assessment, contact Adroit as soon as reasonably possible. Any refund or credit will depend on the circumstances, including whether the assessment or travel has already taken place, third-party charges already incurred, and any rights available under applicable Jamaican law.
Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or restrict a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Site access and customer information
Customers are responsible for providing information that is reasonably accurate and complete, including the property location, electricity-bill information, intended backup loads and relevant access/safety information. For physical work, the customer must have authority to permit access and installation at the property.
Unexpected structural, electrical, roofing, access or safety conditions may require changes to scope, price or schedule. Adroit will discuss material changes before additional work is undertaken.
9. Equipment, warranties and substitutions
Equipment availability can change. Adroit will not intentionally substitute a materially different inverter, battery, panel or other major component in a final project without confirmation through the quotation/project process.
Manufacturer warranties, where applicable, are subject to the relevant manufacturer's terms. Any Adroit workmanship or project warranty will be as stated in the final written quotation, invoice or project agreement. Website educational content does not create an additional warranty.
10. Website and educational content
The Learn Solar page and other website content are general educational information. They are not a substitute for site-specific electrical, structural, engineering, financial or legal advice. You may use the website for personal evaluation of Adroit's services, but you may not copy or republish Adroit branding, photographs, quotations or original website content for commercial use without permission.
11. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but online services can occasionally be interrupted or contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, Adroit is not responsible for losses caused solely by reliance on an unconfirmed preliminary calculator result, temporary website unavailability, or third-party services outside our reasonable control.
This section does not exclude responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer protections.
12. Privacy
Personal information submitted through the website is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Payment and third-party service providers may also process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
13. Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. The parties should first try to resolve any concern directly and reasonably. Nothing here prevents either party from using any complaint, regulatory or court process available under applicable law.
14. Changes to these terms
Adroit may update these website terms as services or policies change. The effective date at the top identifies the version currently published on the website.
